This is Microsoft's New Spartan Browser Featuring Cortana Integration [Video]

Check out this video preview of Microsoft's new Project Spartan web browser featuring Cortana integration.

Microsoft has announced that Spartan will ship with Windows 10 and alongside Internet Explorer. The new browser is designed to compete with other light and fast web browsers such as Apple's Safari and Google's Chrome.

One of the interesting features is Spartan's integration with Cortana, Microsoft's personal assistant. The Cortana icon in the address bar will jump if the assistant has any information on the page you are currently viewing. It's also very easy to look something up with Cortana. Just highlight a word, right click, and select Ask Cortana. This brings up a side panel with whatever information Cortana is able to offer.

Take a look at the video below for a hands-on demo. If you like, you can try out the latest Technical Preview of Windows 10; however, you'll have to wait until the next preview to try Spartan.

Balmer f...ed it up during his reign. Otherwise, they could have displaced Android and brought Bing up to par with other search engines. It is, however not too late. MS makes products that people still pay for to get, yet the $ is no longer in operating system or Office Suite as Apple and Google give them away. That said, MS has 3 decades plus of experience in designing OS to throw their weight around. They just need to refocus on what customers want for their OS/software. The Windows on Lumia is a solid performer across the entire range. Throw in incentives for developers then MS may have a fighting chance.

What copy? This is just another catch up on Apple ideas that have been out for years Microsoft can barely keep up with anything. It took years to make a phone, assistant, tablet, their own so-called laptop, now their own browser. Didn't take that long to knockoff CarPlay. What's next, their watch that will come after 3 years of Apple watch?

Love the back to the future of the first windows in an evolution from scratch. Loving the old school reviving strategy I see. All hail Lord Steve Jobs.
