The Apple Watch comes with 8GB of built-in storage but only 2GB can be used for music and 75MB for photos, according to 9to5Mac. The site says they've confirmed these capacities with Apple.
2GB of music storage will equate to around 200 - 600 songs depending on file size, enough to hold your favorites. You can play music without being tethered to the iPhone.
The 75MB limit on photos is fairly small; however, the Watch will reportedly resize images when imported so they take much less room. A rough estimate is that you will be able to store about 100 photos on the device.
The remaining 6GB will be used to hold the operating system, application data, and eventually application binaries.
The Apple Watch will be available to pre-order starting April 10th. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
more like iphone. Colored with gold, gray, and silver. Straight greatness and not bent over like samsungs. Samsheeps going buthurt over quality gadgets from another!
I wasn't interested in the Samsung and I wasn't interested in no pebble and I wasn't interested in no fit band and I'm still not interested in Apple watch. Least of all at that price.
Yes, imagine trying to call with the watch on a tight space, why do that when were alerted to receive a call made for phones. This is meant to save battery life is it not?
I think this is retarded, they shouldn't limit the space to be reserved. Like if I don't want to download any other apps and want to fill that space up with music, I'm not allowed to do that?
I own an 8gb iphone and I still have more than half he space stored on it. When it comes to Apple watch, it won't fill up that easily due to most things it does without iphone even if zi did have almost 8gb on iphone used up.
Maybe, but I've managed to run out of room on every single Apple device I've owned until they reached 128gb. Some of us download more crap than others do. However, if they reduce my 100 favorite songs to low quality recordings, and all my photos to tiny pictures, when I'd rather use my phone. With so little space, I seriously doubt you could download many apps either.
The thing about the cord was sitting down while playing music makes it harder because I can't pull my iPhone out due to how much space there is between my gut and the pocket it's in and how much space there is to pull it out just to access a song with an app, plus this ampy thing really changes what it's like to charge with electricity. It's that important, plus most people here keep yapping about it because some here don't understand.
