Steve Jobs Movie Script Leaks: 'It Looks Fantastic'

Aaron Sorkin's script for the upcoming Steve Jobs movie has reportedly leaked with 9to5Mac obtaining a copy.

Today we got our hands on a copy of the screenplay (or at least a February 2014 draft of it) which reveals what many already may have already suspected based on previous reports: the three products Jobs will unveil during the biopic are the original Macintosh, the NeXT Cube, and the iMac.

The movie begins with the launch of the Macintosh and key scene in which Andy Hertzfeld and Joanna Hoffman are trying to convince Steve Jobs to cut out the iconic "Hello, I am Macintosh" moment from the demonstration because of a problem with the voice synthesizer. Jobs threatens to destroy his reputation if the demo isn't fixed.

The bag was designed by Susan Kare, the Macintosh font that’s scrolling across the screen was designed by Steve Capps, the starry night and the skywriting was Bruce Horn, MacPaint, MacWrite, Alice, down to the calculator and then I’m going to say the voice demo was designed by Andy Hertzfeld and you’re not gonna die but you’re gonna wish you did.

Earlier this year, Universal Pictures officially announced the cast of the movie. Jeff Daniels stars as former Apple CEO John Sculley, Katherine Waterston as Chrisann Brennan, Jobs’ ex-girlfriend, and Michael Stuhlbarg as Andy Hertzfeld, one of the original members of the Apple Macintosh development team.
