i updated my phone and now it won't work so thanks for that! all my photos deleted, my music will not play, it crashes every two minutes, it keeps disconnecting from the wifi and it keeps saying my storage is full when its not
Have you ever heard about backing up to iCloud then resetting after update? I still have all my stuff before and after, battery life functions properly, no crashes after being on it a while, buttons are fine, playback before resetting didn't happen until I did reset. I reset every time after an update and that never fails.
This new iOS F****d up me and my iPhone 4S.
I had a backup on iTunes before updating.
When I update, my Photos were all messed up.. deleted photos showed up again, the chronological order were all messed up.
So, I restored my phone using Itunes and tried to restore from the backup. iTunes gave me an error, saying that my backup was corrupted and that I COULD NOT restore it.
So, what I'm doing right now is downloading iOS 8.2, hopping that Apple is still signing it, and that the restore from the backup will work.
You can't be serious. iOS 3 is beyond the limits of 8.2 and major revamped! I never had a thing wrong with 8.2 but mother of god, 8.3 just made my day! Not even a photo out of my place. I have the emojis I wanted to use now!

I have properly restored my iPhone to iOS 8.2.
And guess what.. I am restoring it from my backup!!! Which means that my backup was NOT CORRUPTED, the problem was just that iOS 8.3 wouldn't accept it. (Just to inform.. I was on iOS 8.1.3 before updating to iOS 8.3)

My photos are still messed up, but they are there. None is missing. Which proves that the fault for that is with Apple and not iOS 8.3 . One of the reasons is that after photo number 9999, apple start naming photos from 0000 again. But, that does not change the fact that iOS 8.3 did not accepted my backup for restoring!! Just waiting for iOS 8.3.1 - I believe that it won't take long.
You need to buy a new iPhone. That will solve most of your issues. Maybe not having over 9999 pics and having numerical value issues, but wait...who in the f*** has 10,000 pics on their devices? Are you a professional photographer or something? Anyways, 32-bit devices suck on iOS now. The iPhone 4(s) was GREAT on iOS 5&6, but is complete garbage on 8. I just moved from the 4(s) to the 5(s), and the difference is night and day.
I don't have 10000 pics, I usually back them up and delete from the device most of them.. I have about 1500 pics right now. BUT, the name of each picture go on a progressive scale, so, after I took the picture 9999, my iPhone named the next picture as 0001, and with this new iOS it messed up with the order. A bigger problem, from what I am concerned, is that a lot of "deleted long ago" pictures came back to my device, most of them to the folder "recently deleted", witch makes me realize they were never truly erased, and they were occupying valuable disk space, because I had only 500mb left when I updated the iOS. And I know 4S is shit running iOS 8, but I still don't need a new phone, and I updated it knowing that it would perform slower. New apps doesn't come to iOS 6, that's why I will continue updating my phone as long as I can.
Did you ever find a solution? Is there an app that will add a number so the photos can be 10001, and up to 100,000? This is very annoying to have to rename everything to avoid losing valuable photos.
But please share if you have found a solution.

"Swiping up" is the equivalent of force-quitting your apps. You shouldn't be swiping up at all, ever. Apps become inactive after 10 seconds to save power. If you are force-quitting your apps, you will run into or create software problems.
No it attempts to quit the app normally first but if it fails that's when it's force quit. If you have too many apps open it will slow down your phone. This issue is a UI issue.
Either way, retail employees told me not to do it... and my phone still runs the same and battery is unchanged. So, I personally have no reason to swipe up.
