iOS 8.4 beta 4, which Apple released yesterday, seems to fix the bug that caused the messages app to crash when receiving a specific text.
For those of you unfamiliar with the bug, when receiving a certain series of unicode characters, the Messages app would immediately crash. In some cases, you would be locked out of your Messages app since it would keep crashing, unless you sent yourself a message. You can see a demonstration of the bug on video here. The bug was tied to the way banner notifications displayed to text and even expanded to third party apps like Snapchat.
Apple had posted a temporary solution for the bug and informed iClarified that a fix via a software update was coming soon.
iOS 8.4 will launch on June 30 alongside Apple Music.
You speak of him being fired from his own job...but tell us oh educated one....what happened to Apple after that fiasco? That's right...they fell off the face of the Earth. Apple was better with Jobs. Period.
