Red Bull Submersion: iPhone 6 vs. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge [Video]

Posted June 20, 2015 at 4:21am by iClarified
If you've ever wondered how well the iPhone 6 would fare versus the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge when submerged in Red Bull, EverythingApplePro has posted a video demonstrating just that.

The test isn't that practical as your iPhone is much more likely to end up in a pitcher of beer than a pitcher of Red Bull; however, the test does demonstrate how the iPhone holds up in a liquid that isn't water.

Take a look below...

I thought Samsung said their phones were good at being water resistant before. What can explain this?

I was talking about what their phones were doing it terms of functionality. That's what it was meant to be built for that I was joking about it! I didn't say "this is a water test" did I?

That was the S5 but with the S6 they've said nothing about water resistance. He could of put a s5 in there to compare

I'm just saying how samsungs tried to prove that on their s5 to think they would live up to that, but no. Not like I trusted them ever!

Also here is a very thorough water damage repair tutorial that applies to any device that has been liquid damaged https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zsh73qDQSHc

"Rice wouldn't even help them here" well of course not, it never has in any case of a liquid damaged phone. Also the iPhone screen bleeding is due to the backlight it has which is a separate part from the lcd/digitizer assembly which is replaceable.
