Mac OS 7.5.5 Running on the Apple Watch [Video]

Posted June 23, 2015 at 1:29am by iClarified
Developer Nick Lee demonstrates Mac OS 7.5.5 running on the Apple Watch in a video posted to YouTube.

I ported Mini vMac to the Apple Watch after updating to watchOS 2.0

Lee was able to get System 7.5.5 running on watchOS 2 using the Mini vMac Macintosh emulator. System 7.5.5 was released back in 1996 and it ran on a bulky Power Macintosh 5500.

Take a look at the video below...

It's about the same size screen as I remembered in 96.

Y'all are funny. The video isn't meant to display functionality in the sense that people would WANT to have OS7 on the watch. It's to reflect on how far technology has come. 24 years ago (when OS 7 released) the idea of a watch having more computing capabilities than your home computer was beyond comprehension.

The video was incredible. Especially the sound of some random b*tches having a conversation.

Because it proves how many systems Apple watch supports and the computer all on a wrist.

That wasn't my question. My question was why the hell would you want it on your wrist. I understand if he only wants to tweak it and try new stuff.

It's not OS X. Mac OS 7 is completely different.
