Apple has issued a statement denying rumors that it's working to launch a mobile virtual network.
Yesterday, a report surfaced that claimed Apple has been privately trialing a MVNO service in the US but is also in talks with telecoms companies in Europe about bringing the service there.
Here's what the company told CNBC:
"We have not discussed nor do we have any plans to launch an MVNO," said an Apple spokeswoman in a statement on Tuesday.
Despite Apple's statement, the company has been interested in becoming a carrier since before the iPhone even launched and rival Google has justed launched a MVNO.
