Verizon Launches New Plans Without Contracts or Subsidies

Verizon Launches New Plans Without Contracts or Subsidies

Posted August 7, 2015 at 7:34pm by iClarified
Verizon has announced the launch of new simplified monthly plans with no contracts or smartphone subsidies.

Beginning August 13, our newest price plan will offer four easy sizes of data to match how our customers use wireless service.

The Plans:
● Small: $30/month for 1GB of shareable data
● Medium: $45/month for 3GB of shareable data
● Large: $60/month for 6GB of shareable data
● X-Large: $80/month for 12GB of shareable data

On the new plan, every smartphone line is $20 per month, tablet and Jetpack lines are $10 per month, and connected device lines for devices like smart watches are $5 per month, all the time. The S-M-L and XL data options can be shared up to 10 devices.

New Verizon customers who want to take advantage of the new plan may do so by buying a new smartphone using Verizon’s device payment option, formerly known as Verizon Edge, or by paying the retail price. Current customers can keep their existing plan or move to the new plan, with some restrictions.

“We were the first to introduce shared data plans more than three years ago, and our new S-M-L-XL options build on that success, using the insights our customers have provided since then,” says Verizon.

Verizon also plans to launch a simpler and more streamlined bill over the next few months.

I pay 19KD (58 USD) for 300GB of 4G per month in Kuwait. Why is it so expensive in the USA? Those prices are outrageous

So for a smartphone and 3gb of data I'm still going to pay $65 a month and I don't get a subsidized phone. Ripoff. Their moto should be "pay more get less with Verizon"
