Apple has given Vogue an iPhone 6s to test at New York Fashion Week. Kevin Lu captured what may be the first pics ever shot by a photographer with the device.
“It’s a lot quicker, so I can get more shots that I want, so I don’t miss much,” Lu tells Vogue.com of the phone’s responsiveness. “I also do videography, so the 4K video is really helpful because the quality is absolutely insane on a mobile phone and you can see a lot of detail.”
Lu believes the updated camera will make it even easier for amateurs to get great shots.
“With a 12-megapixel camera, you can really get some incredible details, and you can zoom in a lot closer when you need to,” he explains.
The new iPhone 6s features a new state-of-the-art 12-megapixel sensor with advanced pixel technology and Apple-designed image signal processor, for truer colors and sharper, more detailed photos; as well as, a new 5-megapixel FaceTime HD camera and Retina Flash, which momentarily makes the display three times brighter with True Tone lighting, for bright selfies in low light.

my dog could take better pictures with that camera . next time maybe apple should consider letting the fashion click wait in line . these pics don't do the camera justice at all .

Instead of relying on megapixels, how about a better sensor and lens with great exposure control. 6s is just as good as any other phone anyway.

florin22xl: If your cameraphone is so superior, how come there are no photography competitions for androids like the IPPAWARDS to showcase your great pictures and there is no term invented for it like iPhoneography? I haven't heard the term Samsunography or LGnography yet. It is like you are saying Leica cameras are bad because they have less pixels but yet they are one of the best cameras. So is the same with iPhones compared with other cameraphones.

I own an iphone 6 plus,my statement is not based on hate as you would think. The fact is ,samsung note 5 and LG G4 have the best cameras on a smartphone to date,we have yet to see comprehensive reviews for the iphone 6S.The fact that i have an iphone doesnt prevent me for stating the facts.

It's only because of the camera sizes or the insanely large edge to edge displays.

You mean the petruding iphone camera wich sticks out the back of the phone? And what does the display of the phone has to do with the quality of the camera?

Other than Retina Flash, seeing the detail of the photos because of how big the screen is.

Wow. That picture really tells a lot about today's fixation on tech.
