KAYAK App Gets Massive Update With New Apple Watch App, Multitasking, Handoff, Much More

The KAYAK app for iOS has received a massive update bringing private deals, a new trips timeline, a new Apple Watch app, a new flight tracker, new price alerts, support for Spotlight Search, multitasking on iPad, universal links, Handoff, and more.

What's New In This Version:
● Private Deals. Find even cheaper hotel rates by logging in. These private deals are so low that we can’t show them to the general public.
● New Trips Timeline. A new timeline design makes it clear where you need to be and when on your latest adventure. Flight status and Uber ride suggestions appear right as you need them.
● New Watch App. View your current trip’s flight, hotel, car rental and restaurant bookings right on your watch. We’ve completely rebuilt the KAYAK watch app to take full advantage of watchOS 2. A new Trips complication shows your next event directly on your watch face. Use Time Travel to peek ahead in your trip. Offline mode lets you do all of this without an Internet connection or your phone nearby.
● New Flight Tracker. The new Flight Tracker sports easy to read color coded statuses and even more details for our fellow travel geeks out there (runway and gate times). New in-flight mode shows your estimated time to arrival and approximate location on a map.
● New Price Alerts. Monitor price drops with the newly redesigned Price Alert tool. Keep easy tabs on how a price has been changing with new charts and sparklines!
● Spotlight Search. Search for your trips directly from Spotlight.
● Multitasking. Book your travel while doing something else with new Slide Over and Split View multitasking support for iPads.
● Universal Links & Handoff. Links now open in the KAYAK app instead of Safari. More types of activity are supported with Handoff so that you can seamlessly search for travel as you switch between devices.
