Uber has announced the launch of a Private API for UberRUSH which makes it easy for businesses to add on-demand delivery to their stores.

Many companies rely on automated operations, have complex logistics networks or are in need of a more flexible solution that can fit their business and customers’ needs. That’s why beginning today, we’re introducing a private API for UberRUSH, that will help businesses big and small build on-demand delivery right into their existing infrastructure and apps.

Uber has also announced new partners including Nordstrom, 1800flowers, and T-Mobile.

● Customer experience is key. Nordstrom knows speed and convenience is important to customers and is using UberRUSH to offer fast and easy same day delivery for their customers at their flagship store on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. 1800flowers, the leading destination for floral and gourmet gifts, on the other hand, is using UberRUSH in New York to deliver fresh floral arrangements, while T-Mobile will give customers super-fast delivery when ordering a new smartphone.

● We’re also working with companies to change the way we all think about how to shop and eat. From Rent the Runway, which offers a designer outfit for every occasion, to Operator –chat-based shopping assistance, Curbside — an app that does the shopping for you at local stores, and Google Express — delivery from your favorite stores, UberRUSH is powering new ways of shopping that help you save time.

● Feeling hungry? Order from over 25,000 restaurants with partners like EatStreet and restaurant platform Olo, which powers popular restaurants like Noodles & Company, Which Wich and many more. These companies are tapping into the UberRUSH API to ensure your items or meals get to you quickly.

● Even for the most sophisticated and complex logistics companies, we believe getting packages from A to B should be as easy as getting a ride. That’s why we’re working with platforms like SAP who is the market leader in enterprise application software. We’ve also partnered with Bergen Logistics and Trade Global, who are the industry leaders and logistics backbone for top global retailers like Rebecca Minkoff and Cole Haan. Now they too can use the power of UberRUSH to integrate on-demand delivery directly into every business in their network with a few lines of code.

These partners have already begun pilots in San Francisco, Chicago and NYC. Uber plans to add more in the next few months with the goal of making it cheaper and more reliable to receive a delivery via UberRUSH then get in your car and pick it up yourself.
