The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge camera has achieved an impressive DxOMark score of 88, besting the iPhone 6s Plus camera by four points and becoming the top ranked smartphone camera. DxOMark performs a detailed technical analysis for each camera ranking photos and video on Exposure and Contrast, Color, Autofocus, Texture, Noise, Artifacts, Flash and Stabilization.

Achieving a DxOMark Mobile Score of 88 points the new Samsung Galaxy S7 edge ranks in 1st place on the current DxOMark Mobile database. Featuring a 12Mp rear facing camera and 2160p@30fps video module, Samsung’s latest flagship Smartphone is a great proposition for mobile photography enthusiasts. The 26mm f/1.7 lens delivers very accurate and repeatable exposures, which helped the S7 edges achieve an outstanding Exposure & Contrast score of 90 during our tests. In fact, even in tricky high contrast scenes, it captures great exposures thanks to its built-in auto HDR feature, making it a great choice for landscape or backlit photography. The modest 12Mp resolution also ensures a good compromise between noise and detail on the S7 edge, which secures excellent DxOMark Mobile scores of 91 for Texture and 89 for Noise.

Here's the current top smartphone cameras as ranked by DxOMark:
● 88 - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
● 87 - Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Sony Xperia Z5
● 86 - Samsung Galaxy Note V, Samsung S6 Edge

I this talk about the Galaxy S7 coming out after the iPhone 6S means nothing since the Galaxy S6 still beat the most current iPhone(6S Plus) and the Galaxy S6 came out before the iPhone 6S Plus. This article is just about the camera. No one is saying the iPhone is not the top selling phone, because it is. Samsung is the world top seller of phones. Apple is more profitable because their upgrades are slower, and the principle of scale. The majority of parts in the iPhone are made by Samsung. Apple is Samsung's biggest customer.

Still doesn't change how you can buy something to add onto the iPhone along what what it's capable of doing alone. Let alone that, Apple does often work with TSMC. Hell it was once mentioned that Samsung was afraid that Apple would move to them and that says a lot.

Hahaha! Apple is Samsung's biggest customer? Yes it is! It is Apple that is giving business to Samsung. The design of the components are designed by Apple's engineers and Samsung is just manufacturing it. Samsung is just one of Apple's suppliers. Remember the client is the boss of the manufacturer. Try to think about that! Indio!

I have to admit that a Samsung Galaxy camera is better than iPhone...but the rumors about a double lens in an iPhone should make it better, so let's see!

What do we expect from phone released in few months apart?

Yes. That's why Apple makes the most money of all the cell phone manufacturers by far, has the best product satisfaction and customer loyalty and has people waiting in long lineups to buy their phones before they are released. You guys still don't get it. Specs don't equal the product experience and ecosystem. Look at how Apple is handling the request to create a backdoor into their phones.

This like any galaxy can't ever beat iPhone and trying to release it after iPhone is always a sign of playing catch up and you know it especially when s6 copied the laminated display thereby saying how better the iPhones display is junk IPS panel or not (which in reality isn't bad) This is why you always blindly defend it with the old "it's just 1080p". Laminated display goes beyond that with so much improvement that continues to defy why competition can't move on without them. Say what you want about the so-called 'cheap' 'junk' display!
