I've never seen such a stupid move by Apple ever who wears 2 watches it would make much more sense to connect one watch to 2 iPhones ( like one for work and one at home ) also why not let the Apple watch connect to the iPad???

You call that a 'stupid' move? I've never seen something like that until I saw your comment! Also, it's not for iPad because it's not something you can take with you and built to work with HealthKit since that's what Apple Watch involves.

I think far more people have one watch and two phones than there are people with two watches and one phone. What was the logic behind the decision to allow pairing multiple watches to a single device? Developer app testing?

Probably to see all the watches and keep up with all of them at once.
