Apple is Placing 'Rather Aggressive' Component Orders for the New Apple Watch

Apple is planning to launch a new Apple Watch later this year and is stepping up procurement of chips and components for the device, reports DigiTimes.

Orders for the upcoming Apple Watch have been higher-than-expected, said the sources. Judging from the orders, the sources estimated that about two million units of the new Apple Watch could be shipped monthly. Sales of the Apple Watch have been a disappointment, the sources suggested. Therefore, the recent pull-in of orders for the second generation from Apple is "rather aggressive," the sources said.

Suppliers are set to begin shipping components for the second generation Apple Watch in the third quarter. The timing suggests that Apple could launch the device alongside the iPhone 7. It would likely ship with watchOS 3, an update to the smartwatch's operating system that was announced at WWDC.

I love Apple Watch updates! I recommend using this new app for monitoring iPhone battery charge from the wrist: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/watchmybattery/id1024068907

I own Apple Watch Edition SS, its really easy when you can do more on your wrist, i only use it for notification. But the truth is i hate the design. Apple Watch is too girlish. Its like a toy. I am still hoping for a round one.

Will still and forever be garbage.

Coming from someone who won't accept the quality and potential it has and continues to gain like any other Apple product has ever received while defying how it's not so-called garbage you wish it would be to begin with! You want to believe what you want!

Mukai, that's a nice sign-off tagline you have there.
