Telegram Secure Messaging App Gets Video Support, Bot Payments, Instant View

The Telegram secure messaging app has been updated with video support, bot payments, and instant view.

Version 4.0 brings three major updates in one:


1. Video messages and Telescope.
- Tap the mic icon to switch to camera mode, then tap and hold to record quick video messages.
- Swipe up while recording for hands free mode. Works with voice notes too! Stop and replay before sending.
- Introducing Telesco.pe, where anyone can view video messages from public channels — no Telegram account required.

2. Bot Payments.
- Bots can now accept payments from users.
- Soon you'll be able to order pizza, shop for clothes, or maybe pay your utility bills using Telegram bots.
- Bot payments support Apple Pay.

3. Instant View Platform.
- Instant View is ready to support thousands of websites, including your favorite ones.
- Anyone can create article previews with our new Instant View Editor.
- We're launching a $200,000 contest to help us enable Instant View for the (almost) entire web.
– Added themes for Instant View pages: read articles in a dark, grey, or sepia environment, choose font type and size, auto-nightmode supported.
