Apple has posted a new Earth Day video entitled, 'Does My iPhone Believe in Reincarnation?'.

Lisa Jackson, Apple’s lead on Environment work, and our recycling robot Liam will make you believe. Lisa and her team explain it all, while Liam disassembles your iPhone 6 so those parts can find new life.

They don't give a crap about the eviroment. They buy recycled stuff because it's cheaper than buying new materials. Just melt it down and press out a new body.

So what they are saying is that our new iPhones will have parts that have been taken out of old ones, so you could say we are getting refurbished new phones.

Like transistors and other parts that can last forever or die instantly.

No. They don't reuse the parts. They separate them into what they're made of and recreate new ones. Like melting SIM card trays and using the metal to make new ones.

Nope they don't melt the mother board or the LCD they do use them as is in they refurbished phones. LIAM is fake, LIAM is CGI animation. https://youtu.be/VAi0XTxR8ic
