Microsoft has updated the Cortana app for iPhone with a new look, easier and faster reminders, improved performance, and more. The company says this update sets the ground for many exciting features to come.

Cortana is a truly personal assistant who gets to know you better all the time so she can help track the things you’re passionate about, like your favorite artist or sports team, and give you smarter recommendations.

What's New In This Version:
We are bringing major updates to make Cortana a better assistant for you:
• A fresh new look with a simpler and improved user experience

Someone answer me please, why would Microsoft make a virtual assistant for an iphone since the iphone already has one? And what benefit could they make out of it since it's a free app ? I just don't understand how they are desperately trying to get into people's hands even if they have to give up their apps to iOS, which it makes out of iOS an even more rich platform, even google makes the same thing instead of keeping the apps exclusive to android to differentiate it from iOS, either it's a marketing strategy some how, or they can get a better usage understanding from iphone users and therefore making their apps better? Or maybe something else that I can't think of
