HomePod May Support Scenes That Temporarily Disable 'Hey Siri'

Apple's HomePod smart speaker may support scenes that temporary disable 'Hey Siri', notes iHelpBR's Filipe Esposito.

According to the Home app assets, users with HomePod will be able to create "scenes" that disable Siri temporarily. It will probably be very useful for parties.

This type of functionality is already present on other smart speakers. The Amazon Echo has a dedicated mute button which allows you to turn off the microphone.

Apple planned to release its HomePod smart speaker last December but was unable to deliver the device before the holiday season. It has yet to announce a new release date; however, the HomePod has cleared the FCC and it's rumored that Inventec has begun shipping the first batch to Apple.
