They are doing this for MONEY, many areas have limited shopping , and stores . So in that respect it is very good. Knowing full well many live month to month. Taking advantage of it ..

Will considering many of the products are already 40-60% above the cost to produce. Its a bargain .. Really a watch that cost 100 bucks to make that cost $400 .. $5 delivery overnight , delivery they make a fortune

This should actually cause liberals heads to explode. Amazon is not doing this to help out people on Medicaid. It is a two-pronged attack on lower- income people. Firstly, Amazon wants to put local companies out of business, something they have been quite successful at so far. Secondly, they want to make it easier for people, low-income or otherwise, to purchase something that they can’t afford. This obviously hurts the low-income folks the most.

Part of me is so furious that I would have to pay more for a service just because I work and pay taxes. Then, another part of me realizes that I already am already helping fund the welfare system and in the long run would save me money if they didn't didn't pay as much for the service.

Why do you not get furious when Trump wastes a million bucks on secret service for his kids to go open up a new hotel in Panama (which later gets taken away from them for violating Panamanian laws.)??? Resenting people who already have crappy lives is pretty darn petty, don't you think? Might as well kick a homeless person if you ever see one. Why should he get to live rent-free, amiright? Seems like you focus on the wrong stuff.

well 5.99 a month is still $72 a year, so only about 23% off the annual prime membership cost of $99.

When you pay on a monthly basis it’s more than $99. It’s about $155 a year so it’s a very good discount.

This should cause a few conservative heads to explode.
Pj555 - March 7, 2018 at 8:29pm
I don’t know, it’s more acceptable than the discount for people on food stamps.
Joseephus - March 8, 2018 at 4:31pm
Yes, because we all know it's just a giant scam to make conservatives feel all bntt hurt about people getting "free stuff." It has nothing to do with making sure children don't starve to death.
