How to Unlock the iPhone Region Format for All Locales

Posted February 26, 2008 at 1:21am by iClarified
These are instructions on how to patch the iPhone Region Format Settings to unlock all locales! Notice when you normally go to Settings:General:International:Region Format only a few countries are available. This patch will open the list to all countries!

This solution was created by timschuerewegen. We have only packaged it for your convenience. He deserves all the credit for it!

Before you start make sure you have BSD Subsystem Installed on your iPhone.

It's a great app, but there is some confusion. Region Format shouldn't be the same as language. I'm in Norway and I wanted to have 24-hour-time, phone numbers in the Norwegian format (XXXXXXXX) etc.but NOT days of the week in Norwegian. Even though I only changed the format to Norwegian but kept the language setting at English, the days of the week are now in Norwegian... Any suggestions as to how to avoid that??? Regards Bardss
