These are instructions on how to change the existing passcode on your iPhone.

For better security, a passcode needs to be entered to unlock iPhone when you turn it on or wake it. Setting a passcode also turns on data protection, which encrypts your iPhone data with 256-bit AES encryption.

Here's how to change your iPhone passcode.

IMPORTANT NOTES

● Setting a passcode on your iPhone is an important security measure that can help protect personal information and data stored on your smartphone. If you don't set a passcode, anyone who has physical access to your iPhone can access your emails, text messages, photos, calendar, and more. An iPhone passcode should prevent a thief or snoop from reading anything but the data shown on your lock screen.

● Apple no longer recommends setting a four digit passcode. Although this is a more convenient passcode type, it's much easier to guess and brute force crack.

● For enhanced security, we recommend that you can change the passcode on your iPhone regularly and don't use the same password for all your devices.
