Apple Vision Pro to Feature High-End M2 Chip [Gurman]

Apple's upcoming Vision Pro headset will feature a high-end M2 chip variant, according to a new report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

In a post on X, Gurman notes that the M2 chip found in the headset will have 10 GPU cores and 8 CPU cores. There was some speculation that by the time it launched Apple could equip the Vision Pro with an M3, but it seems that will not be the case.

Hearing the M2 chip in the Vision Pro is the higher end variant with 10 GPU cores and 8 CPU cores. Separately, Apple Card Installments will indeed be an option at checkout online and at retail stores.


Additionally, Gurman notes that he's not heard any information yet on larger storage capacities.

In his newsletter this week, Gurman also revealed that Belkin is preparing a battery clip accessory for the headset that will likely debut alongside it.

Apple has announced that the Vision Pro headset will go up for pre-order on January 19, 2024, ahead of a February 2, 2024 release date. Recent reports suggest there may only be 80,000 headsets available at launch.
