New Battery Sizes for iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro Max [Rumor]

Apple is planning to equip its new iPhone 16 models with slightly different sized batteries, according to a new rumor from Majin Bu on X.

The leaker shared the following battery sizes in a post today...

Based on the information I managed to obtain, the new iPhone 16 will have a 3561 mAh battery, while the 16 plus should have a 4006 mAh battery and the 16 Pro Max, should be equipped with a 4676 mAh battery that is no longer L-shaped due to the redesign of the internal structure that I mentioned. I have not been able to obtain information on the Pro model for the moment.


For the iPhone 16, this would be a 6.33% increase from 3349mAh to 3561mAh. The iPhone 16 Plus would go down 9% from 4383mAh to 4006mAh and the iPhone 16 Pro would increase 5.74% from 4422mAh to 4676mAh.

In the mockups below (@upintheozone) we can see that the L-shaped battery is for the iPhone 16 Pro Max is gone, possibly due to internal redesigns to accommodate the new capture button.
