Serif has announced updates to its suite of Affinity apps that include support for 50 new cameras, 32-bit HDR, and DWG and DXF export.

The version 2.4 release of Affinity Photo, Affinity Design, and Affinity Publisher brings support for new cameras from Sony, Panasonic, and Nikon, including:
● Panasonic–G9 mk2, GH6
● Sony–A7C 2, A7CR, A7R V, A9 III
● Nikon–Z8, Z30, Zf

For photographers, there are improvements to the SerifLabs RAW processing engine, new time-saving tweaks, and the addition of 32-bit HDR PNG 3rd Edition to existing True HDR support for Mac and Windows. This means means Affinity Photo meets all the key requirements for high dynamic range on-screen graphics. It also enables users to export images for HDR display in Google Chrome, with other browsers expected to follow.

For architects and other designers, Affinity Designer now supports both DWG and DXF export. This means outlines created in Affinity can now be exported for use in various CAD applications, making it easier to incorporate Affinity into a professional workflow.

There's also a new States Panel in Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher that is useful for managing different variations of a project or campaign, eliminating the time-consuming need to toggle layer visibility individually when switching between artboards in Designer or spreads in Publisher.

Serif CEO Ashley Hewson says: "These updates underline our commitment to making Affinity the optimal choice for professionals. As well as adding support for the latest cameras, we've worked with a leading global broadcaster to meet industry requirements for producing high dynamic range graphics, making Affinity the first design software package to deliver that capability.

"And the addition of DWG and DXF export is in response to the growing number of architecture practices around the world who are putting their faith in Affinity."
