GEVEY Ultra S Can Unlock GSM iPhone 4S on iOS 5.1.1

jailbreak erases this setup? i want to jailbreak so i can use my personal hotspot. and i lost the white reset card that came with the gevey sim. can i set it up again without the white card?

Well I have the next problem... I don`t have any more the original SIM card from the network the phone is locked on. I moved out if the UK and so on.... I bought a gevey ultra S.. but I can`t make it work... I tried to restore the phone... but still no use. When I insert the gevey ultra s toghether with the new micro sim... it says that is was succesfully unlocked... but in shows no service still.. and every time I lock the screen It displays the setup screen with Sim not valid.. any tips?

it worx IT WORX finally my iphone worx in czech republic .. thank u guys ... for the record it take me 8 hour to unlock it , dudes i cannot find the setup simcard , guy on video have it right there but when it come i was not able to find it , after that it worx like charm ... iphone 4s baseband 2.0.12 ios 5.1.1 ... ♥♥♥ love u

Hello I tried this on a Tmobile iPhone 4s 5.1.1 and it worked fine. If your network not in list at the end of it says get code, you put your sim which phone is locked to in and saves start up code. I then inserted Vodafone sim and it worked fine except I had to change apn manually which can easily be done by typing in safari unlockit.co.nz and it automatically installs apn so you can get internet. 100% worked for me.

Can you tell me how you did it? I have the same OS/base band version. Thx.

This in fact DOES work. I bought the Gevey Ultra S from some guy off CL and was very skeptical. I tried it before I bought it and it worked instantly on my iPhone 4s running on iOS 5.0.1. Then the update iOS 5.1.1 was released and it didn't take long for Absinthe to come out with jailbreak. Although JB is not necessary to use the Gevey Ultra S. And when AppleNBerry confirmed that the Gevey Ultra S works on the iOS 5.1.1, I went ahead and upgraded. I am on US T-Mobile and it worked after a few tries. I had to reboot a couple times and wait a few minutes - 1 hour before it worked. It kept saying NO SERVICE and SEARCHING and the pop up "Your iPhone was successfully unlocked" kept coming up a few times before it really did. Only problem is every time you reboot, you have to go through the cycle again. Bottom line, IT DOES WORK!!! :)
