Media Reaction to the iPad Left Steve Jobs 'Annoyed' and 'Depressed'

Another excerpt out of the upcoming Steve Jobs biography reveals that the Apple CEO was 'annoyed' and 'depressed' at the media's initial reaction to the iPad, reveals the Huffington Post.

The launch of the iPad proved to be its own challenge for Jobs. The lukewarm reception it received at its launch -- which included more than 800 emails from users to Jobs -- "annoyed and depressed" the then-CEO.

"I kind of got depressed today," Jobs told Isaacson the night after the iPad launched. "It knocks you back a bit."


Of course, the iPad survived its initial criticism and went on to be a resounding success.
