Untethered jailbreak and unlock for 4 and 4S, will there ever be a thing like that? I hope! Guys don't flame me, just asking. Peace!

I hope they do it before I leave for my business travel abroad. I hate paying overpriced international rates. Good luck and more power!

Uhhh wrong.. On average most international rates are cheaper than in the US usually with better service. If you want an unlocked phone then you need to buy one and stop depending on others to supply you with a solution that you need. Stop being cheap.

@d Let me ask you, how many trips outside the US have you done? How many foreign countries have you done business with? How did you know I was wrong? I frequently travel and do business trips to 9 foreign countries and if you will see my phone bills, you wouldn't even call me cheap. I am always on the phone when I am outside the US. I will try to save however and whenever I want to. And you Sir have to know the facts first before you call me cheap. Just because you checked the rates online doesn't mean you're Mr. Know-It-All.

@james, Which of my passports would you like to see? The blue one or the black State Department passport? I am currently living in Europe right now, after a stint in the Mid East. So, yeah, I would say that I have a pretty good grip on cellular prices. Your statement was misleading, and I will correct you now. The US, next the Mid East has about the highest roaming charges globally, but the Mid East prices are coming down while the US still remain high. On average Europe has cheaper prices within Europe, but because the European operators were caught colluding on prices, they are forced to lower their prices and are cheaper on average. So again, your statement was misleading. If you are talking about the US, they you have a point, but if you are painting with a broad brush, you are wrong. While I don't profess to know everything, I can say that I am quite sure I can match you country for country and surpass you by quite a few, as well as knowing about calling international. The cheap comment, I think still stands, was in reference to your international traveling. If you are working for a company that requires you to phone while abroad, they would naturally be responsible for your costs. If you pick them up, then it would behoove you to spring for an unlocked phone rather than waiting on someone else. Don't you think this makes biz sense?

the bad part is that a lot of people are expecting the iPhone 4 Unlock, if he just jump from 3gs to 4s, then,,,, all the people can use their iPhone as an IPOD...

Funny how they have a "very promising iPhone 4S unlock" the same weekend that Apple is selling iPhones at discounted prices. Can you say sellouts? Man, I'm glad I have moved on to Android. How do I unlock my HTC Nexus One? By plugging it in and running "fastboot oem unlock" from Command Prompt. Thats it. Simple.

I read Apple news so that I can get my laughs in for the day. Like reading your hilarious....and childish comments when someone posts negative comments about Apple.

I have to be honest, I love my Iphone 4, but i also tested the galaxy tab and the samsung Ace, and they are good, you have to be open to options and discover new worlds, The Woz (Steve Wozniak, for those who doesn't know him) has also a Nexus and he like it, you can not be that close minded, 8 years ago I was a Nokia Fan, and later I was an HTC, then I tested the Glofish (Chinese phones) HP and back 2 nokia, and then The iphone, and I love it (of course is factory unlock) I test it with gevey and was a pain in the..... Neck... Anyway, the important thing is to be open minded and share good things, not stupid comments

@gus, Great post. Like you, I have no problems embracing technology. You might want to give the Nokia N9 a try. It is a zombie phone but it runs Meego and is surprising fast and reasonably stable. Nokia did a great job even though the phone will not be supported after a few years, but for the moment it is great and fun to use. I still use my iPhone 4S daily but as a side or backup phone the N9 is in my opinion better than anything Android has to offer.

Regardless if dev-team works for apple or not... Apple likes them around..... It's free marketing for Apple! That's including I clarified and mac rumors... If dev-team or geo hits never hit the scene no one would really know what apple is.. Or even got this famous. I only found out about apple from geo hits in the news lol
