Though it would be a mirrored display, with Moutain Lion comes MacBook screen mirroring support through Apple TV, thus making 4 external screens are available.

So in theory one could connect 2 of the 27 inch thunderbolt displays. And then using this: http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=508267#
one could hook up the mini displayport version of the screen (which looks identical) to the hdmi port thus having 3 27" screens. I know what im saving for now.
