MagSkin is a thin magnetic backing for your iPhone 4/4S that is seeking funding on Kickstarter.

MagSkin is an adhesive skin that can be applied to your iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S to fully support the weight of the smartphone when placed vertically against a refrigerator or other ferrous metal. MagSkin includes access for the rear facing camera and flash. Overall, the MagSkin backing is less 1 millimeter in thickness with an added custom outer vinyl sheet.

A pledge of $15 will get you a MagSkin in any color...

Tidytilt is cool but If this had the magnetic swivels to flip the cover to the front like the iPad magic cover then this would be pretty nice. It could be a stand or a screen cover when it's not in use.

And the long term effects on the compass will be ???? There are after all magnetic components inside the phone that this may well magnetize or time ... Any testing for that? And of course while it's applied, compass is not useful obviously ... Wonder if it affects any of the other sensors...

I especially like the bit about it supporting the rear facing camera--for all those people who want to take macro pictures of their refrigerators. Personally, I can't see using this with an iPhone, but if it actually works, they should have marketed it for the iPad instead, so people could Skype while cooking.

I really doubt they meant it has a hole for the camera so you can use it when attached to a metal object. Should they have covered the opening so you don't have a rear camera at all when the skin is on your phone? Think, my friend.

Use less. Please do not produce it. You will be bankrupt soon because of this.
