Are we really obsessing over the amount of pins the connector has? 8, 9, 18...is this what's important? I find it hard to get wrapped up in a difference of one pin even for an Apple fan. If its smaller, fine. If not, my life will go on. If they don't change it at all, I think I will manage to find a little more meaning for my life other than obsessively scrolling through this blog.

I think your missing the point, the significance is not that there is 1 pin difference to a previous rumour. The significance is that there appears to be something tangible that may be backing up the general rumour of a smaller dock connector. I just hope that this doesn't mean all the other rumors are true. I was expecting much more from "Steve's last iPhone"!
