iPhone 4S vs. 'iPhone 5': Thickness Comparison [Photos]

iResQ has posted some photos comparing the thickness of the iPhone 4S to the 'iPhone 5'.

The most interesting thing we see here is the fact that the iPhone 4 and 4S are thicker than the iPhone 5 by the thickness of the back glass. So here is an easy way to imagine the thickness of the iPhone 5: remove the glass backplate from your iPhone 4/4S and there you go! That's the approximate thickness of the iPhone 5.

The site also notes that the fully assembled unit has a good feel.

"Having the mostly assembled unit in our hands feels nice. It fits in the pocket just fine and I can see myself getting used to the longer screen rather quickly."

As one who has to manage several hundred iPhones and Androids... I'll take the SIII over the iPhone 5 everyday of the week and twice on Sundays. No competition. As a corporate device and in the mobile managemnet field, it isn't even close. Apple is a nightmare. Apple will not release vital API's for development. Want to make a GPS tracking location on Apple. Nope. Apple won't allow apps to auto start on restart. Know many employees who will choose to turn on their own tracking??? I dropped my iPhone 4s i sand now it sounds like trumpet is playing, i cant stand it Well thanks to the speaker grill hopefully it will prevent from speakers getting damage

To be honest I dont see any reason to upgrade and pay another 500.00 for the Same shit. Come on !!!! It is the same old design and nothing changed . Apple needs to start making bigger screen size phones to compete with the rest.

The screen size is going to be bigger. It's going to be taller, not wider though (4" diagonal).

I don't see any real reason to go from my amazing 4S to the 5. I'm yet to get a good enough reason. A bigger screen is not enough. And a quad core CPU would only be useful if my current iPhone can't cope with the load, which it can... Reasons anyone?
