Elgato Announces New EyeTV DTT Deluxe

Elgato today announced the new EyeTV DTT Deluxe, an almost impossibly tiny and beautifully designed DVB-T stick that is barely larger than a USB connector. EyeTV DTT Deluxe delivers powerful DVB-T (Freeview) reception, cutting-edge technology, clean design, and extreme portability in one diminutive device. It is available immediately at a price of 89.95 EUR and comes with Elgato's award-winning Mac TV software, EyeTV 3. EyeTV DTT Deluxe also includes drivers for Windows 7 and ships with TerraTec's Home Cinema software for Windows.

Design
The very smallest full-featured DVB-T stick available anywhere, EyeTV DTT Deluxe is a perfect fit for any Mac or PC. It slips easily into the USB port of any Netbook or even a MacBook Air without blocking other devices.

Multiple options for aerial reception
EyeTV DTT Deluxe comes with a miniature telescopic aerial that attaches neatly to the end of the TV stick without wires or cables, and a larger portable rod antenna is also included as an alternative. In areas where the DVB-T signal is not strong enough for portable use, the included IEC-MCX adapter may be used to connect any type of active aerial that has an independent power source, or with a passive aerial such as a rooftop aerial.


EyeTV DTT Deluxe comes with an infrared remote and offers full-screen menus for comfortable TV viewing.

EyeTV 3 Software for Mac
EyeTV 3 is the world’s leading TV software for the Mac. EyeTV 3 enables users to watch and timeshift live television on a Mac, and record, subscribe to TV series, and create Smart Playlists. EyeTV 3 has a built in editor to remove unwanted content and can send recordings to iTunes to sync automatically. Recordings can be shared over a local network with other Macs. Using Elgato's new EyeTV app, owners of an iPhone can watch live TV and browse the Program Guide on their portable device (app available in the App Store).

Compatible with Windows 7
Users who have a Windows PC as well as a Mac can use EyeTV DTT Deluxe with either computer. EyeTV DTT Deluxe is compatible with Windows 7 and works with Windows Media Center. The included TerraTec Home Cinema software for Windows supports many of the same features that are offered by EyeTV 3 software.
