Rogers starts enforcing the rule of restricting the plan to exclude PDA,... any un-certified device. My bill changed from $0 -> $xxx this month!!! Do I can my IMEI or switch to someone else?

My recommendation, play the fool. I got over $1000 charges refunded last month and tis month. Though this month, they told me they won\'t be able to refund anymore. No more iphone unlimited. Well I sold my iphone last week and got an HTC Touch Diamond so until they have an unlimited windows mobile plan, no more data usage on Rogers.

Just got a text message that I\'ve incured $75 in data fees. $7 unlimited plan has worked great for 6 months and now charges? I called Rogers and after getting the run-around, I\'m told that Rogers does not credit non-Rogers devices. The fact that I\'ve gotten out of being billed for my data for the last six months was \"a fluke\" - thanks Customer Service!!! Monitor your data usage this month and be careful? My guess is now that Rogers should have valid IMEI\'s for the new iPhones, they know what to look for and are charging for the data on those devices. iPhone IMEI blacklist perhaps? Any other ideas?

Hi Guys,
I almost had a heart attack here when I got my bill tonight. It was for $1200!!!
Then I talked with Rogers and they have clarified the issue and confirmed th atit is okay to sue my phone as they don\'t have any charges. They had mass amount fo charge for the day that they have turned feature on and they ahve reversed it saying it ahs been a system glitch on their end.
Anyway, it is all good now...thank God. I guess this means we can use our iPhones unlimted on this package despite what it says on theri web site :))
cheers,
Mert

Good news for me o far, too. I\'ve just talked with Rogers and no data charges for me on my bill either. after I signed up on February 5th, I\'ve used about 23MBs of data on my iPhone both for surfing, installer, weather, RSS, locate me, google maps, etc. and no charges ahve been applied.

One thing that I\'m curious or worried about is adjustments to the previous months in the future. Anyone thinks that is possible?

Igf it goes like this hurray!!! We have unlimted access on Rogers for iPhone :))

Cheers

It is first month only.. I guess it might be 3 months if you\'re a new Rogers customer...

Well I\'ll see mine soon enough... I\'m still scared to use it though... I don\'t want Rogers to get us somehow...
