so, if you create the patchstick with 3.0.1 firmware (from iClarified) and install with Apple TV (already upgraded to 3.0.1), the install process is smooth but nothing works except that you see "Software Menu" and if you click on any menu item, nothing happens! So i factory restored my Apple TV to 2.0 and used an older firmware 2.x to create the the patchstick and it works like a charm.

Can you update to 3.0.1 after? Or do you have to stick with 2.4 for it to work? I am having the same issue with the "Software Menu". I wonder if there is going to be a fix for this soon...

Im trying to find the OS-dot-DMG 1.0.dmg, i have found it via rapidshare, but its two files ending with OS-dot-DMG 1.0.dmg.MD.zip .001 and OS-dot-DMG 1.0.dmg.MD.zip .002.
Can anyone help me how to combine this files, i dont understand how.
Or even better, if there is any other place to download the OS-dot-DMG 1.0.dmg file, need this to get the file sharing working in atv 3.0 Nito.
Thanks.

.001 and .002 extentions are for hjsplit. Do a search for that and use it to join the 2 files together.

When attempting to create the ATV USB drive it stalls on the second, "copy files to target disk." I've tried three USB drives. Any help? Here's the text:

Extracting boot.efi ...
Extracting recovery seed ...
extracting atv_recv.zip
Creating USB Flash Disk...

install recovery onto target disk

This 404 is driving me crazy. I've tried using the mesu.apple link that has been mentioned here and on a few other sites but my mac cannot access it. For whatever reason it's a dead link on my PC. Anyone else having this same problem?
