I unlocked 2 of my iPhone 4 and 2 iPhone 4S removed Sam app from cydia.. They are still unlocked ..I activated all my iPhones with SAM except 1of my Iphone4S is unlocked by AT&T .. IS this a an offial code that apple left out in IOS? I only tested them with T-mibile So yesterday I went and bought a sim card with 20minutes in it ..just to try it..it worked. Now I can swap Tmobile when I put my att it says this phone is ready for an activation..my iPhones are unlocked Damn..thats awesome ..cant wait to use it in Europe.. The point I'm trying to make all my iPhone don't have SAM app installed they are still unlocked.

you dont have to have service on a sim card if its never been activated, it will show signal either way, just thought i'd let you know so you don't waste your money in the future

Quick question, is it a permanent unlock or just a temp unlock base on the iOS version like ultrasn0w?

Can anyone help me - I have Iphone4 from U.S. AT&T, but it has never been activated with its original SIM. I used it all the time with GeveySIM. Now, during activation process it says that it needs original SIM... But I do not have it! :(

You shouldn't need it, I've hactivated and successfully unlocked brand new iPhones that have never had a sim card in it before. Not sure why your having this issue, but go back and recheck to make sure you did the correct steps to unlock your phone

Well it tried this like 20 times, step by step, using all methods I could see, but till the same "SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported" error. Where could the problem be? Iphone 4 iOS 5.1 I did my brothers Iphone4 - worked like a charm...

You never needed itunes in the tutrial iv been using from youtube since i was getting errors using iclarifieds. it uses SAM to "attempt activation" your phone resprings and is activated before you plug it into itunes (no itunes error etc etc like in iclarifieds tutorial)
