guys you have to update your sources for installer to work properly, you must keep up with news on this site. they told us about this a couple of days ago.\"
Another option is that iClarified is more specific in the (othervise great) tutorials. I you read a tutorial... It really isn\'t obvious that there are further information in the news that are crucial for the tutorial to work... Second: The comment didn\'t help much. I got the help needed from another forum. And have now via terminal removed and reinstalled correct version of installer. Everything works!

great info robin but i\'m a novice could tell me simply how to do this? i mean how do ssh my phone?
Robin - February 10, 2008 at 8:38pm
Just as a FYI, if you want, you can login via SSH to your iPhone whilst the jailbreaker is running, Installation times do vary because this actually downloads the 1.1.3 download file from apple, I set my DNS to let the iPhone download the restore file directly from my own webserver as I had already downloaded it myself and it took a lot less time (albeit longer than just letting the thing download it but it was fun nonetheless).
The thing that takes the bulk of the time besides the download is ofcourse the decryption of the restore file.
Make sure you at least have 500mb free on your iPhone when you try this, that caught me out the first time I did this!

I had a iPhone 1.1.2 and updated using INSTALLER, it took me 20mins and now my Custom Ringtones don\'t work from iToner. They are on my list but no music comes out..it just vibrates or when you take that off, it just shows that someone is calling!! ANY IDEAS OR SOLUTIONS!
Thanks

I have a problem. When i add http://installer.iclarified.com in the sources, it does not appear as a source! So i can\'t see the iClarified\'s section in \"install\", from the installer.
p.s.: i\'m on a 1.1.2 jailbreaked iPod Touch.
Thanks
