Hi There! Im trying to jailbreak my 3gs 4.0 but it says Oops it looks like the installer crashed last time you tied to jailbreak.. Happens all the time. :( Anyone else experience the same problem?

Clear your Safari cache and cookies, and allow java scriptGo to settings/general, scroll to the bottom and restore network. Try the site again. Following these steps I was jailbroken in 5 minutes.

It didn\'t work for me even after I followed the mentioned steps. Well, I have Cydia, I can\'t get Installous as it doesn\'t have an icon and it says it\'s \"command line\" and I am pretty sure is not what I am looking for, but I still have that message (\"looks like the installer crashed\") when I go again to jailbreakme.com and if I slide the bar again it says something like \"Warning, your device is already jailbroken, do you want to continue?\"; what now? Is it jailbroken or not?! Cheers from the UK! :)

hi people i have a iphone 3gs running 4.0.1 firmware just jailbreaked my phone works perfect first time any 1 haveing problems i suggest you back your phone up and then try again good to be free again

Yes I have this problem also like all other people with locked phones! Yes, this \"safari-jailbreak\" is a lot easier than blackra1n etc. jailbreaks but why there isn\'t any alternative for users like us? Blackra1n was better for passing by emergency screen and continue to home screen. I really appreciate this Jailbreak comex, well done.

Some cydia apps such as terminal and iFile do not work on iOS 4.0 or 4.0.1. You will just need to wait for the developers to release an update

Sigh. Been trying repeatedly for three days now, can\'t get past the first screen. Does anyone know of an alternate jailbreak program for 4.0.1? I give up - I don\'t think this one is going to work for me.

I DID IT!!! I DID IT I DID IT I DID IT!!!! YAAAAAY!!!Thank you, all you great smart generous developers out there!!! After trying OVER AND OVER AND OVER, hours and hours, for FOUR DAYS AND NIGHTS, every which way, I finally succeeded! I restored the phone to factory settings! Then, with no data on the phone, using 3G (not airplane mode or wifi) I used jailbreakme.modmyi and in 3 minutes I had Cydia on my phone! I am THRILLED!!! Now to figure out what the heck \"packages\" and \"themes\" are, and how I can get rid of text notifications floating on top of everything, install a better email program, a better keyboard, and a million other things that are inefficient and offensive on this phone.

hi, the jailbreak for my 3gs 16gb on ios 4.0.1 worked FLAWLESS, however there is some kind of screen issue as whenever I turn it off and turn it on again (restart) I get a strange colored line on the screen above the apple icon, and a progress circle indicator (not animated) overlapping the apple icon. this is strange, but everything else works perfect. perhaps this can be fixed. thanks!

I see the same thing. So far no other glitches than some of the tweaks, utilities, etc., aren\'t up to speed with 4.0. Keep up the good work DevTeam!

my 3gs phone is the same prolem, I turn it off and turn it on again, the colored line is on the screen above the apple logo,phone , i think just wait for update from dev team , my phone everything else work like charm

Hi I\'ve just jailbreak my 3GS (firmware 4.0.1) with new Boot and after jailbreak i entered cyida and its alert me about TSS request ( This device has a Pending TSS request ) What is this ? & and what shall i do ? tThanks in advance please Help

KEEP FREE TETHERING? Using 3GS JB iOS 3.1.2 and luv free tethering. if I upgrade to iOS 4.x will I lose free tethering???? Thanks!!!
