I started the process 25 hours ago. Ive tried the 3 methods, iclarify, the \"official dev teams jailbreak\" in installer, and nates. I know the commands and my wireless numeric password by heart now. vIe visited 1.0.2, 1.1.1, 1.1.2 and hopefully 1.1.3 ibrick, iphuc, putty, winscp etc. everything possbile. I just hope 1.1.3 is worth all the effort since I have been without a cellphone for the whole day. My download is already 1 hour + so everyone just stop downloading! I need to sleep after 25 hours playing / fighting my iphone.
and damn u apple for not making this things easy, painless and free!

WOW, so easy!...soft upgraded to 1.1.3 (from 1.1.2 -3.9bl) using this method. The tutorial says the upgrading process takes 20 mins but it took me closer to 45-60 mins. Didn\'t require the sync fix, youtube didn\'t work but the youtube activation fix corrected that. I then used the baseband upgrade and anysim 1.3 to complete my \"step up\". Now im just looking for a way to remove the 280 megs from the 1.1.3 soft upgrade, then i\'ll be all set....any help?, any tricks?, anyone?
Thanks to all involved with these tutorials, it\'s such a great help, keep up the great work!

@ shane_pcs - after about 2:15 hours, my phone reset itself, and I was all set. You may want to start over again, may have been a hangup in your download.
@Abhishek - Itunes tells me i have 32 mb of stuff.... so Im not sure on that, my Installer.app doesnt show I have openSSH installed, yet I can still SSH into my phone via putty or winscp. So Im trying to figure out which files I can get rid of.
Im also trying to figure out why Installer doesnt download anything anymore...

Hi - worked like a charm! only took about 20 mins too. i now have an fully unlocked 1.1.3 w/o having to use one of the *SIM solutions (started as a 1.1.2 OTB). Prob is, after doing this soft update, I\'ve now lost my installer! THe phone seemed to finish the update fine (can call out, checked the firmware and it says 1.1.3) but the installer icon is gone. Is this a glitch, or did I un-jailbreak my phone? everything seems good for now so i\'m just missing being able to use mp3s for ringtones + play solitaire! any advice?

After I reset, I was sitting at 1.1.3. I have started the unlock process, but I don\'t know why it hung. Adam did yours reset itself? Mine was going on 2.5 hours, wish I would have seen your note first.

hi adam, can you let me know how to clean up the space used for the image file of 1.1.3
Abhishek - February 8, 2008 at 11:09pm
hi adam, i used the process shown above to upgrade to 1.1.3 and was successful.

Great success! After a two hour wait, my phone is now 1.1.3 unlocked using T-Mobile. I\'ve restarted the phone several times to see if something funky would happen, and nothing has yet.

I gave up. I reset my iphone. Will try to start the process again.
