The wait appears to be finally over. Rogers has announced Canadians will be getting the iPhone. Rogers confirmed Tuesday it has come to a deal with Apple Inc. to offer the all-in-one cellphone, iPod and Web browsing device in Canada.
We're thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year, said Ted Rogers, the cable giants CEO, in a short statement.
We can't tell you any more about it right now, but stay tuned.
The confirmation comes after months of guessing about a Canadian launch date for the iPhone.
