SeeItWithus has announced the release of VideoPix 2.1, the much anticipated update to its iPhone frame grabbing app. With this update, VideoPix now runs on all iPhone devices (including iPhone 4) and iPod touch devices and supports frame grabbing as well as slow motion playback, frame by frame analysis of iPhone shot video clips as well as movies imported to the iPhone and iPod touch. It also allows basic photo editing of the grabbed frames including the ability to crop frames and add B/W and Sepia tints.

The ability to play video in slow motion, move single frame forward/backward at finger tap is in itself very powerful. Golfers can use it to analyze their golf swing frame-by-frame to find the imperfections. Dance lovers can analyze dance steps in detail, movie and TV lovers can screencap their favourite movies and shows, etc. iPhone 4 users now also the additional luxury to grab high resolution (1280x720) pictures with frame level accuracy by scrubbing through videos recorded by the native HD camera.

The updated version also gives iPhone/iPod touch users option to import up to 720p H.264/MPEG-4 videos into the app from their computer over local WiFi. So those using point-and-shoot cameras like Flip HD or iPod nano can directly import videos from the computer and grab stills at leisure. The app has added support for MJPEG videos (up to 1600x1200) which are the ones shot by most digital cameras.

Not only that, the app provides the ability to crop and add B/W/Sepia tints to the grabbed frames. Now these beautiful grabbed images can be sent to your friends, set as wallpapers, shown off to colleagues - the possibilities are endless. VideoPix's first version was featured by Apple in its US and Japanese app stores for an extended period of time and highyl praised by customers around the world. To date, all customer queries have been answered within 24 hours.
