Philips is working on creating a Xenium phone called the X800 to compete with the iPhone.
A Chinese site, CCID, says it has obtained preliminary information on the new X800 phone. The Xenium X800 is similar in design to the iPhone with a black backing, more slender profile and rounded corners.
The X800 has a home screen is also very similar to the iPhone's; using icons to launch applications, games, e-mail and the camera. The phone can also be tilted sideways for a landscape view.
Prices and release dates are not known, but one images below suggests it may be carried by Vodafone Hong Kong.
