Industry sources have told Pocket-lint that O2 has been told to "prepare" for a major announcement on the 9th of June, the same day Apple CEO Steve Jobs is to hold his keynote at the start of the Worldwide Developer Conference.
It is widely expected that Steve Jobs will announce the 3G iPhone during his keynote. It is still not known when the device will be made available to each market; however, it is believed that the US market may see the iPhone immediately.
