A new report says 3G iPhone will be a major disappointment for some as it will not include GPS nor a camera update.
MacScoop has heard from "trusted" sources that the next iPhone will of course have 3G connectivity, but not much more, as it will lack built-in global positioning system (GPS) chip and include the same old 2Mpixel digital camera.
Other sources told MacScoop that we shouldn't expect miracles in terms of battery-life as 3G chips are still way more power-consuming than those supporting only EDGE. It is likely that Apple's efforts in improving efficiency will only offset the added requirements of 3G.
MacScoop sources did not comment on what new features would be present choosing only to say what will not be present.
