Clever & Son AG has announced that the WiFi2HiFi app is now available on the App Store. Use WiFi2HiFi to turn your iPhone into a wireless audio receiver for your stereo system or sound-dock. Combined with the free desktop app WiFi2HiFi Station you can listen to whatever audio program is playing on your computer.

Stumbling prone cables connecting the computer and the hi-fi will be superfluous. Any web radio or song on the hard disc can be enjoyed from the comfort of the couch. WiFi2HiFi Station acts like an additional audio output on the computer, allowing it to provide streaming support for all popular audio programs on the Mac and PC.

Similar idea, but via jailbreaking and actual AirPlay files: http://www.macstories.net/tutorials/how-to-turn-your-iphone-and-ipad-into-airplay-speakers/ Coupled with Rogue Amoeba's excellent AirFoil, it works really well. http://www.rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/ Still, nice to see options that don't require jailbreaking, and are not expensive at all.
