The battery life of the Apple 3G iPhone is not great but it beats that of other 3G smart phones on the market, according to a PC World report.
PC World's Test Center ran it through their standard talk-time battery life test, and found that on average it ran 5 hours, 38 minutes, a running time that they consider earns a Fair rating.
This is a huge drop from the superior performance of the original iPhone, which ran on AT&T's slower EDGE network and lasted up to 10 hours. However, it is worth noting that the 3G iPhone beat the current 3G smart-phone pack, most of which latest under the 5-hour mark.

Then I got a busted i phone because I get about 2-3 hours of usage. Maybe it can stay on 5 hours straight but I feel usage should be determined buy how the person who actually spends the time on the phone, not how its tested in a lab.... unless thats the way they test em and i just got a bum phone
