Apple Introduces New Cards App for iPhone

Apple today introduced a new app called Cards that will let you create and mail custom letterpress cards from your iPhone or iPod touch.

The application will let you choose from 21 designs including Thank You, Holiday, New Baby, Birthday, Love, and Travel. You will be able to customize the text on the card and include a photo.

Apple will mail your card anywhere in the world. The cards are mailed within two business days and it costs $2.99 when mailing within the U.S. and $4.99 when mailing anywhere else in the world.

Apple will send a notification to your iPhone or iPod touch on the day the Card is scheduled to be delivered.

Cards is a free download and will be available on October 12th.
