Sprint is offering new customers a $100 American Express pre-paid card in addition to a previously announced $50 discount on the iPhone 4S, reports BusinessInsider.
To get this price you have to sign up for a new line with a two-year contract and pay $149.99 up front. Sprint will later send you a $100 American Express pre-paid gift card.
Last week, Sprint dropped the price of the iPhone from $199.99 to $149.99. That sale is still going on, but you don't need to sign up for a new line to take advantage.
Apple is matching discounts offered by retailers on the iPhone and is also planning to match this offer with a $100 in store credit if you get a new line on Sprint. Clearly the release of a new iPhone is rapidly approaching.
I am in Las Vegas and been with Sprint for almost 2the years now and had no bad service I feel, and offering those discounts is a smart move in order to get more customers that they know the iPhone as a product will please, I guess if you are in a market where is goos fir sprint is worth it since that will be good device with unlimited good service. I think.
in all honesty sprint can do as many discount and gift add ons as they want, it still doesn't justify a two year contract that says you will put up with sprint's bullshit and laughable service. Data especially is a common complaint I hear about them, I personally use a factory unlocked 4S on T-Mobile USA (I only get 2G edge) and in some areas my low data speeds kill sprint's "blazing fast CDMA 3G", im not saying sprint is a shitty carrier, but of the 4 major carrier in the US, its definitely the biggest joke
