A Verizon source has revealed that Apple will launch the new iPhone on Friday, September 21st, reports TechCrunch.

A trusted Verizon employee has just confirmed to TechCrunch that the carrier is having an all-staff vacation blackout from the dates of Friday, September 21 to September 30. You know what that means, right?

Apple is said to be unveiling their next generation device on September 12th. Last year, the iPhone 4S was announced on October 4th, went up for pre-order on Friday, October 7th, and was launched in stores a week later on Friday October 14th.

This falls in line nicely with TechCrunch's timeline for the iPhone 5:

● Expected announcement: Tuesday, September 12
● Expected pre-order date: Tuesday, September 12
● Launch date, as confirmed by our trusted source: Friday, September 21

I m not upgrading until a jailbreak is released for an IOS6 untethered. Otherwise I'm keeping my Iphone4S for now. Can't have an Iphone without the jailbreak. Fuck that!

While I feel the same, I will be buying the new iPhone just to start saving the shsh blobs for when the jb comes out. But I'll still use my 4s until it does.
