The Canopy Sensus iPhone case that adds touch sensors to the back and sides of the iPhone is being showcased at CES, reports Engadget.

In practice, the case isn't much different in dimensions to a standard protective iPhone case, if a little chunkier along the base. The whole thing locks in to the iPhone 4's connector. although there's still another port to charge through there. The case also has integrated apps attuned for the blind, with Braille entry possible using all those multiple touchpanels.

Check out the video below to see how it works. The case is said to launch this summer for between $59 and $99.

I would say 1/2 way to cool if it didn't add a half inch to the bottom of the phone. You get buttons on the back and your overall weight and size grow. Not that exciting. If it helps the blind then that brings the 1/2 way to cool back.

Er…yes! did you not actually read the article? the additional buttons allow for entry of Braille. Braille, if you don't know, is a written text made up of an array of bots which can be read by touch. The iPhone is already a great device for the vision impaired, giving it Braille entry capability makes it even better.
